George and his team are top notch when it comes to providing excellent repair and ongoing upkeep of European vehicles. I trust George and his Madness Motorworks team to work on both my 2014 Porsche Panamera 4 purchased used for its 60K service & more - they found my two year suspension coil springs were broken. That is after the car had been through a Porsche dealership - Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) and also a “full inspection” by the dealer I bought it from in the Northeast who missed numerous issues. They’ve also worked on my 2019 Infiniti QX30, which was a joint venture car by Mercedes Benz and Infiniti for its 60K service. It’s actually a MB GLA class car with body design and electronic mods by Infiniti (mfg’d from 2016 - 2019). The Madness Motorworks team knows their stuff from diagnostics to parts sourcing, and correcting any issues that they can resolve. George is straight up, highly engaged, excellent at keeping you apprised, and honoring timely repair and service commitments (to the extent possible in getting the needed parts on time). And, since George has a competitive racing background in his Mini’s, he knows what to look for in vehicles that are tracked, or driven in a performance way. I fall into the latter category and plan to track my Panamera. The short of the long is - you can trust George and his team to be honest, clear, give you options (if possible), fair, and priced very competitively. They are my go-to automotive mechanical shop in the PDX metro area for both my Porsche and my MB GLA / Infiniti. Thank you George and team for the great work you're doing.

I came to Madness Motorworks after getting an $8K estimate from the Mini Dealership to replace my turbo in my Countryman. George and his crew took care to do the correct diagnostic, and found that the turbo did not need to be replaced, and the correct repair would be THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper. George is professional, experienced and a great communicator. I love people who can shoot it straight, and George is top notch in his field. I'll be coming back for many years to come!

I’ve brought my BMW to Madness MotorWorks multiple times now and have had consistently great experiences. George, the owner, is one of the most honest and communicative people I’ve worked with in the auto industry. He’s straightforward, helpful, and never makes you feel pressured or talked down to. The work on my car has been excellent, scheduling has always been quick, and turnaround times have been faster than I expected. Everything has felt very transparent from start to finish, which is hard to find with European auto repair shops sometimes. If you’re looking for a trustworthy BMW mechanic in Tigard or the Portland area, I’d absolutely recommend Madness MotorWorks. Really good people who do solid work.

George and his team are hands down fantastic. They were our go to Mini place for 7 years. He was always reasonable, trustworthy, and even future mechanics after we moved out of state have mentioned how well he documents his work (somehow in the car computer). His experience from his days of performance racing show through, but do not skew to making you feel forced to do "best of best parts" but rather understands what level of driving you do and makes recommendations ultimately leaving any purchase up to you. I've even contacted him about looking into purchasing a replacement spare tire that I had thought was missing. Turns out everything was there, just not where I thought it was, he confirmed with a photo in a text message everything is there and ready to go, and did not charge us for his expertise. He could have very well knowingly ripped us off there without my knowing at all. Honest to goodness good people. Will forever and always recommend them to any Portlander or Mini driver passing through. Runs his shop well, cleanly, and even has 3D printers there for his employees to use as a work-perk as it's a hobby he enjoys too. Miss this shop and George's conversations. Much love from Detroit, Michigan!!

They were extremely respectful in shop and over the phone. Consistent on the updates. The quality of their work is amazing AND they clean up after themselves, I couldn’t even tell it was worked on. The price is amazing for foreign cars. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A MECHANIC GEORGE AND HIS CREW GOT YOU!

I can’t think of a more pleasurable experience in dealing with a professional tuner to improve my 2006 Mini Cooper JCW. George and Spencer Listen to me and gave me their input on improvements for my car beyond my wildest dreams. George is knowledge on minis is unbelievable. He’s built me a car that I can safely say is probably one of the best r53 in the country. He took care of it for three months and came out with an unbelievable car from suspension brakes engine. Everything was improved. George and Spencer thank you very much. You’ll be forever on my Christmas card list.

First time using a new shop in 10 years and was nervous having someone else working on my new to me BMW 528i wagon. Took it in for a rear sway bar, coil-overs and general check up. George text with issues he noticed and what needed immediate attention. Came through as quoted with suspension and had them do a complete brake job as well. They set the height on the coil-overs perfectly and super happy with the level of service and attention to detail George and the team provided me

George is fantastic. He truly knows what he's is doing regarding BMW's. His 25 years experience and "BMW specialists " on the outside of the building is not "click bait ". More importantly he truly cares about the customer. The communication, honesty and integrity is second to none. George will send photos and text messages to let you know what's going, the status of the work. Will reach out to you after the work if he hasn't heard from you to ask about the car. I know that the work done on my car has been done correctly and professionally. After my second or third conversation with George I told him "I think I found my new mechanic " every interaction and work done since then has confirmed that.

George and team did a great job in diagnosing and repairing the lower control arm bushings and coolant leak on my 2015 Mini Cooper Countryman. Their communication throughout was excellent. They kept me updated when the bushing repair turnend out to be much more difficult than expected and worked diligently to minimize then resulting additional costs,

These guys did a great job on my BMW X3. They seem reasonably and fair-priced which is hard to find in a mechanic that specializes in European cars! The owner, George, is very thorough and explains things respectfully without talking down to you. I would definitely recommend them!

I have taken my 2005 MINI Cooper S into Madness Motors about 4 times so far and the experience has always been positive. George and his team explain what the options are, what the recommendation is, and then let you choose what to do. No pressure. Just facts and options.
