It’s exactly the car I wanted out of the upgrades

Hi George:
It took a little longer than I expected, but my car has everything installed to make it a very quick little commuter. It’s exactly the car I wanted out of the upgrades. I wanted to say thank you for responding to all the installation & “over-nervous owner†questions.
In addition to the Mini-Madness Stage 2 kit and suspension upgrades, I have H&R springs and OZ 18†wheels installed and a Wilwood front brake kit.
After the Polyurethane engine bushings were installed, in hot weather the engine vibration is pretty harsh but the under engine brace has damped the vibrations down to the point where it’s there, but not so unpleasant. I was also concerned the springs, wheel & tire package would make the ride too harsh for Chicago roads, but the H&R springs seem to have about an inch of compliant travel before stiffening up. The short shifter kit is a worthwhile upgrade even if nothing else is done to the car.
Overall, I have a Mini with a much harder edge than standard, it corners and changes lanes as if on rails, gets away from the traffic lights very quickly, and the BMW dealer is still happy to do the regular servicing.
If you’re looking to recommend an installer in the Chicago area, Team Stradale have lots of BMW experience but mine was the first Mini they had done and they did a very neat and professional job.
If you want to post the Email on your web site, you’re welcome to do so.
Thanks & Regards,
Peter LePine.

George! What can I say? You ARE the Man. I fired old PEPR up after leaving your shop today, and the WOW Factor went Off the scale. I can't understand why it only took me about an hour to get from my house to your shop today, but on the return trip it took me over two hours and several gallons of gas.................. I can't say enough about the performance and handling, I just don't have the words. It was something like a High Speed Bullet Train. As for the exhaust, Well to use an old California term, it was 'Just Bitchin' Nice mellow rumble that transformed into a Head Turning Space Shuttle Launch when you Firewalled the throttle.
I was having this time of my life until the "better half" called me and told me to get my Mid-Life Crises Butt home .
So, once again, Thank You for saving the Male Race, by keeping the finest products available for our MINI's to stay on the road and (Out ahead of the rest). I'll talk with you later regarding some addition upgrades. Take Care, & have a Great Show in Las Vegas.
Best Regards,
